We manufacture and design torsion springs, both small, with wire diameters of 0.1 mm, and large with wire up to 32 mm, as per customer specifications, also with variable geometries.
The main applications are spare parts, valves, mechanics in general, model making, toys, musical instruments, naval, lighting, food, intercom, biomedical, and others.
Carbon, alloy and stainless steels are the standard materials that can be used, while for specific projects and particular applications there are other special materials such as Titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy, Nimonic, Rene, Waspalloy, Springflex. During the project development phase, we carry out an evaluation to decide together with the customer the most suitable material to use.
According to the needs and uses, surface treatments can be carried out such as shot peening, sandblasting, oiling, galvanics in general and painting.
Today in particular we will see them applied to the Lock sector
The elements of a lock are manifold, what we are going to analyze is the latch, the mechanism with a triangular, retractable section, placed in the upper part of the lock which is used to accompany the closing of the door and keep it closed.
The latch is mounted on a torsion spring, which allows it to retract when the handle is operated. When it comes into contact with the door case, the torsion spring comes into action and causes the latch to return to the inside of the lock box.
The latch can be operated manually using the key or the handle.
In this case the spring is that detail that demonstrates reliability
